I decided to decorate a picture frame with a tiny bit of winter. One of my favorite activities as a child was to build a snowman. Seems like the kids around here lately have missed out on this joyous activity because the snow we have been fortunate to get has been too dry to make a decent snowman. They are truly being robbed of part of their childhood. Now on to my project.
I started out with a wooden picture frame from Michael's (the opening is 3.5" square). I covered the frame with a piece of sky cardstock from CTMH using ModgePodge.
I then cut out 2 large snowflakes from Designer Calender at 1.71" and 6 at 1.12". Each of these snowflakes were covered in studiog Glitter glue (stardust) and then a CTMH sparkle was added to the center.
Next I cut out images of the snowmen building a snowman using white daisy cardstock, Cherry-O and Miracle pattern paper all from CTMH. The white sections were covered with the studiog Glitter glue and a nose was added using Stickles in Orange peel. I also used the Mocha opaques from CTMH for the eyes.
Once I had all the elements adhered where I wanted them I added another layer of ModgePodge to make sure everything stayed down. I then sprayed the frame with vanilla smooch for a frosty appearance.
Thank you for stopping by hope you find something to spark your creativity. Don't forget to link your project back on the exploring cricut site to be entered for the drawing for the prizes for this week! Happy crafting!
