Daily Project: Soul sister

Hi all! When I was growing up I remember my mom had a pair of shoes that were navy and white and were called spectators. I thought they were the coolest shoes but they were heels so I would never wear them. My card that I made today started out with a pair of pink shoes with a lighter shade of pink for the details. I didn't like the looks of this so I went with an off white and ended up with my mom's spectators on in pink. I can't tell her, but I think mine are way cooler.

My card began with a white base 5.5x4.25 I then added a pattern paper piece at 5.25x4, this was DCWV from my stash. I then added Memory Maker ribbon from my stash.

I used the cartridge Everyday Pop-Up cards to cut the shoes as well as the sign. The shoes were cut at a height of 2.04" (Gypsy) and the sign with the small shoes was cut at a height of 2.70" (Gypsy). The sign on the cartridge had the phrase "soul mate" but I decided to change that to "soul sister". This was cut from the cartridge Alphalicious at a height of 1" then using my Gypsy I welding all the letters together. I used a smallish pearl for the dot of the "i".

I then added pearls to the back of the shoes.
