More February Cards

We made quite a few cards at our last class. Here are the remaining cards. These cards are also made using the Sweetheart line of paper from CTMH, cotton candy, blush, and black inks and cardstock also (CTMH).

This last card wasn't created for class, but I used one of the designs from the card class. This is a card that I made for a baby shower. I thought the March SOTM was perfect for this occasion. I also used the "Blessings" saying from the Friendship Blessings stamp set.

February Card Class

I'm trying to get better at blogging. I figure if I can upload the cards from my card classes within the week, that's a big improvement. Here are the cards from last Friday's card class.

All cards used paper from the sweetheart line. I absolutely love it. Stamp sets were Affection, A Love, and Love Ya all from Close To My Heart. Ink colors are CTMH Cotton Candy, Blush, and Black. Other embellishments were the pink and purple jewels, pom pom ribbon, and white grosgrain ribbon. All materials were CTMH.

January Card Workshop

Better late than never, but I figured I needed to get the projects from January on the blog before I was ready to put February's projects on. I am so excited about the new CTMH paper and I love all the cool projects that I'm planning on sharing. With that being said I apolize for not having more January projects with the new paper (it didn't come in in time because of the weather). I have received some goodies and I'm looking forward to playing so that I can share some cool techniques. Here are the projects from January.

Christmas Ornaments

Diane taught us how to make these cute Christmas ornaments last year and I thought I would add a new twist to them this year. It's very hard to see but there is a snowflake or a Christmas tree etched on one side and the initial of who it was going to be given to on the other side. I though the etching would really pop with the glitter inside the ball. As you can tell this worked much better in my mind that in practice. Oh well, live and learn. I'm still pleased with the way they turned out. This is a super easy Christmas project that really packs a punch!!

These ornaments were completed using the glass ornaments from Michael's, Pledge floor wax, Martha Stewart glitter (the finer the better), and sheer ribbon.

Christmas Projects

This has been a very hectic Christmas season, but I was able to get a few things finished for Christmas presents. I'm learning to start earlier every year, especially with the cards. I really enjoyed making these card sets and notebooks for Christmas presents. They were so much fun and so cute I may try to make several for the upcoming Antique and Craft Expo in April. The notebooks were made using chipboard, scrap pattern paper (as long as it was enough for the front and the back), cardstock, ribbon (in most cases) and prima flowers.

Oh wow!! I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. Several people have been asking about cards from the last workshop which was held in November. Here they are. Of course the first picture is why I haven't posted in over a month. I have to visit Bella and her mom as often as I can.

On the Santa card, I used various button (went a little overboard), the reindeer and sleigh have pearls, and the reindeer has a red jewel for his nose. All designs are from Close To My Heart and use the Believe image set. Papers used came from Mistletoe, Cherry-o, and Jingle, Tulip, Cranberry, and Chocolate were the colors used for the cards. I also used Heavenly Blue on the I believe card, and blush on the stocking card.

I will be ordering my January materials within the next day or two so that I can start planning some things for us to do. My January class is going to be more like an open house event. I will be spotlighting some new products so you will not be required to purchase a workshop or a stamp set. I will provide everything needed, but since there will be several projects to do I will charge $5 to cover paper, ribbon, and any other consumables we may need. Until then Happy crafting!!!

PaperCutz challenge #61

A good friend of mine is on the design team for papercutz.blogspot.com. She has been trying to get me to participate in the challenges since she was selected and although the challenges look really cool, and I so much wanted to participate there just was never enough time. Now that I'm on fall break there's a little bit more time than usual so I actually have several card designs for this challenge.
