Down on the Farm challenge

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by for another fantastic challenge at Exploring Cricut.  The challenge for today was to create a card, layout, or other paper craft with a farm theme.  I thought this one would be very difficult since I don't have kids to take to the farm.  Here's my take on this challenge.

I used the new cartridge from Close to My Heart "Artbooking" to create a farm book.  This is my first project with this cartridge and I must say I love it.  The cuts made were

<1> using Photo Mat 1 feature at 8" I cut 2
<1-s> Photo Mat 1 feature at 8"
<1> Photo Mat 2 feature at 8"
<1-s> Photo Mat 2 feature at 8" I cut 2
<2> Photo Mat 2 feature at 8"
<2-s> Photo Mat 2 feature at 8"
Overlay feature at 7.5"
The letters for this page were cut at 1" from the Doodletype cartridge.
The lettering for this page was cut at 1" using Sans Serif.
The lettering for each of the animal cards was cut from Sans Serif at 1"
Each animal was cut from the Animal Kingdom cartridge at 2.53".
For the goat, cat, and sheep I used fun flock to make it look fluffy.  I used pink stickles for several animals noses and black sparkles for some of their eyes.
To assemble the book, each inner page is a little over half the size of the big page.  I alternated one on top then one on the bottom.  Then used ribbon to tie the book together.
Thanks for taking the time to view my project.  Don't forget to play along and link your project back at Exploring Cricut.

July 25th Daily project

Welcome all!  So glad you decided to stop by.  My project today is a card that I created for a friend that had surgery.  It was a plus that I was able to work in a couple cartridges that I've been wanting to use.

 Cricut cuts:

Creative Cards at 5.35"
The window frame, flower box, greenery, flowers, and curtain were all cut from this cartridge at the same size.

Paper Doll Teen Scene at 5.35"

I added a scrap of pattern paper from CTMH Clementine line for a wallpaper look.
Added sparkles to the earrings and flower centers.
Used the CTMH stamp set  for my saying.

Christmas in July

Welcome everyone to another challenge at Exploring Cricut.  Today's challenge is to create a layout, card, or other papercraft for Christmas.  This is also a blog hop.   If you are participating in the blog hop you should have come from Rae Ann's blog.  I decided for this project to get an early start on my Christmas cards.
I started with a 5.75" x 5.75" base.  The base was covered in Christmas pattern paper from Kaiser Craft that came as a free gift with a magazine.
I used the cartridge Elegant Edges to cut the green base at 5.23"

I used the Christmas cartridge to cut the reindeer at 3.82".  I used crystal stickles on the antlers because Christmas reindeer are magical creatures and should be special.

I used the cartridge Tinkerbell & Friends for the Tinkerbell and she was cut at 5.47" including all the layers.

4th of July challenge

Welcome to my blog world for another awesome challenge for Exploring Cricut!  This week's challenge is to create a card, layout, or other paper craft celebrating the 4th of July and you must include a flag.

I decided to create a card for a friend's birthday.  He's a "firecracker" baby so I decided to step outside the box for him.
I definately had a lot of fun with this card as I tried something I've never tried before.  I used the special stamp set from CTMH "Home of the Brave" to stamp the background with patriotic sayings.  I used cranberry and pacifica inks.  I then used the cartridge Stand and Salute to cut the flag.  All cuts were made at 3"

Recipe:
cardstock: cranberry, pacifica, cocoa, white daisy
Home of the Brave stamp set
sparkles: Michaels
