July Card Class

So trying to take pictures of the cards and post them as I got them completed didn't exactly work for me. I don't really understand why it is so hard for me to be organized. I'm thinking of hiring someone to come in and just pitch stuff (none of my card making and scrapbooking stuff mind you). I haven't completely lost my mind. Not yet any way.

I really had fun creating this month's cards even though they were relatively simple. I have rediscovered embossing so I'm trying not to go overboard.

Question for everyone out there. Do you fall in love with stamp sets, order them, and then never use them? Am I the only one who does this? Maybe it comes down to organization. I don't know which sets I have so I rely on the stamp set that I'm using for that month's class.

Well, here's to hoping I can improve with my organizational skills soon before my mess drives me crazy as well as my parents.

Here are the cards from July. They were made with the Paper lantern set, Fanfare paper, and the Fanfare workshop on the go stamp set. Once again the are oriented funny on the blog.

Enjoy! and Happy Scrappin'

Remaining cards from June

Hopefully these cards will post. I apoligize for the way these cards are posting. The program is turning them for some reason.

June Card Class

One of these days I'm sure I'll get the hang of blogging, but it hasn't happened yet. I've had the pictures of my last card class since the class but keep forgetting to get them on the computer. Granted the computer is in the basement and I'm hair color challenged. That leaves a lot of walking space for me to forget what I was needing to do. With that being said here are last months cards. They really turned out much better than I thought they would. This paper line is way different than what I would normally choose to use. I used Lucky and Bliss for the June cards and the inks were Outdoor Denim, Olive, Sunset, and Desert Sand. We did do some embossing on two of the cards which really turned out nice. The colors used for the embossing were outdoor denim and olive. I really love the embossing and everyone else seemed to enjoy it as well. Maybe I'll try to add my cards as I create them for July, hopefully that will turn out better.

I will have to put the remaining 3 cards in another post. For some reason it will not upload them to this post.

Happy scrappin'

May Card Class

Once again I know I'm horrible at blogging. I forgot to even take pictures of my April card class cards. In my defense it was a pretty bad month with Mom in ICU for a week and then a regular room for another week. Too much on my mind to remember to take pictures. Not this month. I have the pictures ready to go (when I can remember to get on here and post them). The paper used this month was the Mayberry line from Close To My Heart which is another of my favorites. The stamp set used was Carefree again from CTMH. I've been wanting to use this set for awhile and I'm glad I was finally able to use it for a class. Some of the flowers have been stamped and cut out and I put white pearls in the center of each flower but any bling would work, sparkles or even stickles. I'd be lost without my stickles (can I hear a second). Ink colors were smoothie, honey, olive, and chocolate.

Party Card

I recently had a card party at a friend's house where we made this little card. It is probably about 3.5 x 4. We used the stripe paper and the small flower print from the Miracle line. The stamp set is A Hop which we stamped the bunny in chocolate, the grass in sweet leaf, and the egg on the canvas button in crystal blue. I thought it was just way too cute, and very simple (which are the best cards)!!! Enjoy!

March Card Class

This card is really simple to create and very versitile. The striped paper is from the Sophia line, cardstock colors are hollyhock, goldrush, and pear. I used Heartfelt Treasures stamp set for the big flower and for the other card I used the Friendship Blessings set. All products are CTMH. The second card is made using the large flower paper, green dot, and goldrush cardstock. All images are from the Bohemian alphabet set. Card #3 is at 5.5 x 5.5, with the word B/T paper and tiny flower paper, hollyhock, blush, and white cardstock. The flower was made by stamping the large flower from the Heartfelt Treasures set, twice using 2nd generation of goldrush ink for both flowers. I put a little bit of hollyhock ink on the outside edge of the flower after I cut out both flowers. On the top flower you only want the 4 petals. Putting a dab of glue on the inside of each petal I placed flocking on the inside. (Pink flock was created by dying the white flock). Added a flower button and hollyhock twill ribbon to complete.

Card #4 was created using the B/T papers (stripe and tiny flower) and Blush and White cardstock. I used the Heartfelt Treasure stamp set again using 2nd generation of goldrush on the filled in flower and tulip ink on the outline. Small flowers were stamped in goldrush and tulip. Used a button as the flower center to finish.
Card #5 was created using the Sophia stamp set or the Heartfelt Treasures set and paper from the Sophia line. Card #6 was also created using the Heartfelt Treasures set or the Sophia set and papers from the Sophia line. The Sophia stamp set is only available in the Workshop To Go.

I absolutely loved this month's card class. We always have a blast, but the paper was my favorite for this selling season.

More February Cards

We made quite a few cards at our last class. Here are the remaining cards. These cards are also made using the Sweetheart line of paper from CTMH, cotton candy, blush, and black inks and cardstock also (CTMH).

This last card wasn't created for class, but I used one of the designs from the card class. This is a card that I made for a baby shower. I thought the March SOTM was perfect for this occasion. I also used the "Blessings" saying from the Friendship Blessings stamp set.
