Daily Project: Mischievious Elf

Hi everyone! I'm so excited about my project for today. I'm normally a card girl so in the spirit of creating out of the box I decided to try something new. This is not the project I started out to complete for today, but I'm so glad I switched gears. I'm a teacher so normally I threaten anyone who wakes me up before 10:00 on Saturday. Kinda hard to threaten yourself. I woke up at 8:00 with an idea running through my head and was so excited, I couldn't go back to sleep. Guess I work better under pressure, but I won't share that with my boss. So after working on this picture for 2 days and a great deal of tweaking, here is my creation for the week! Happy Scrappin'

This project is definately easy enough for anyone. I started with a piece of White Daisy cardstock (CTMH), cut to 8x10. I created my own "SmootchSpritz" using spray pen, White Daisy reinker, and pearl paint (CTMH). While this was drying I set off to start making all the cuts.

The sleigh was cut at 2 in from the Winter Woodland cartridge. I used Grey Flannel, White Daisy, Topiary cardstock (CTMH), C1, Y17, and Y15(copics) along with 3 red sparkles.

Inside the sleigh is the head of an elf cut from Jolly Holiday cartridge and 1.5 inches. I used White Daisy and Sweet Leaf cardstock (CTMH) and E00, E11, E13, R20(copics). I also used Fun Flock in Cotton Ball White (Stampendous) on the Elf's hat.

The Reindeer is from the stamp set I Believe (CTMH) and is stamped with Chocolate ink (CTMH) and I used 1 red sparkles for his nose. The gold thread that is connecting the sleigh and reindeer is from my stash, not sure of the company.

The house was cut at 2 inches from the Jolly Holiday cartridge. I used Holiday red, White Daisy, and Black cardstock(CTMH). I also used the Fun Flock in Cotton Ball White on the snow.

Yes, that's Santa on the roof. He was cut from the Jolly Holiday cartridge at .75 inch. I used the Holiday red, White Daisy, and Black cardstock (CTMH)

The frame is from Wal-Mart.

Design Team 1

Recently a friend asked me to be a design team member for a new blog she was creating called, Exploring Cricut. We were asked to create a card, page, or other paper craft using square3 and 2 flowers from the Art Philosophy cartridge. Since I'm a CTMH consultant this project was fairly easy for me. Hope you enjoy the card I made and it inspires you to creativity.

Recipe:

Colonial White cardstock for Base, square3, and 2 flowers; not sure of the color of the yellow cardstock; blue pattern and the circle pattern are from the Emporium paper line; sweet leaf ink, sparkles from Hero Arts.

All cricut cuts are 2.5 in.

The images from the cartridge are square3 and the flowers are flower7 which go with the stamp images that come with the cartridge.

Christmas Pictures

Yesterday Ella and I had our pictures taken for our Christmas cards. For those who may not know me, Ella is my dog not a child, though I refer to her like she is a child quite frequently. This is a tradition that we started when she was a puppy 6 years ago. We go to Redmond Photography here in Maysville cause I can't imagine that anyone could get better pictures of Ella than Lee. Here are a few of my favorites.

New Home

I have a friend that recently moved into a new house. Once a month I try to send her diaper coupons since she has two little ones at home. Since I love making cards I usually try to make a special card to send the coupons in. This is the latest creation. I used CTMH: Roxie and the flower was probably Making Memories. The stamp set was CTMH, Welcome to the Neighborhood, and the bling in the center of the flower is Hero Arts.

August Card Class

Ok, so I know I've warned everyone about how bad I am at blogging. It just doesn't come natural to me like it does to most. I guess I didn't expect to ever be this bad. I just had September Card class last night and I'm posting August cards the day after. That's not just bad, that's "what were you ever thinking you could be a blogger," bad. So here are the cards from August. Please forgive me for being such a horrible blogger.
